1. Under article 136 , the Supreme Court , at its discretion , may grant special leave to appeal from any judgement , decree , determination , sentence or order , in any cause or matter passed or made by any court or tribunal in the territory of India .

2. The Constitution of India expressly excludes the power of the Supreme Court to grant leave to appeal from any judgement , decree or determination , sentence or order in any cause or matter made by a Tribunal constituted by or under any law relating to the Armed Forces .
   सशस्त्र बलों से संबंधित किसी विधि के द्वारा अथवा उसके अधीन गठित किसी अधिकरण द्वारा किसी हेतुक या मामले पर दिए गए निर्णय , डिक्री या अवधारण , दंड अथवा आदेश के विरुद्ध अपील करने की अनुमति देने से भारत के संविधान ने उच्चतम न्यायालय को स्पष्टतया अपवर्जित कर दिया है .
